2012 UAOA Conference

Joni, Allied Health Science Program Advisor, Kathie, Math Lecturer/Advisor, and Mace, SSS Advisor/Coordinator heading off to the Spin Cafe in Heber City with the rest of the misfits.

The cafe specialty is hickory-smoked bar-b-que, as well as homemade gelato ice cream.

The conference was held at the Zermatt Resort which has a uniquely Swiss and German fill to it in a
background of the mountain alpine setting.

Bridget was selected to present at the Utah Advising Orientation Association  (UAOA) for two years in a row. She will be presenting similar information at the last conference titled “The Silent and Surprising Aspects of Advising in Nonverbal Communication.”   In the background is Landon, Academic Intervention and Drew, Assistant Director of New Student Services (R.O.A.D.S.).

Katie, Program Business Advisor, Brett, NCAA Advisor, and Whitney, Academic Advisor Retention attending an advising session.
Alice, Program Nursing Advisor and Kathie, Math Lecturer/Advisor waiting for an advising session to begin.

The mission of the Utah Advising and Orientation Association is to provide professional development opportunities for college and university personnel who advise students or are involved in student orientation.
